Winnie’s Retirement

Mamma Turkey: Did you hear? 

Mamma Deer: No, what?

MT: She retired!

MD: Who?

MT: Who do you think? Remember those hostas you’ve been drooling over?

MD: Her!!! They haven’t hired a replacement?

MT: Not yet. This could be an amazing summer.

MD: Hosta buffet here we come!

MT: Absolutely! I’ve got eight hungry chick mouths to feed.

MD: I knew she was slowing down, but I didn’t dare risk it. Remember when she took out Rocky?

MT: The racoon? I wondered what happened to him.

MD: Not a pretty sight. Scary.

MT: Yeah. She barely comes out the doggy door these days. The squirrels run around like they own the place.

MD: Awesome. I’ve been so worried about creating a safe space for my two fawns.

MT: Pretty sweet. Put out the word. 

Mamma Bunny: Let the feasting begin!
