A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre

Rochester’s holiday tradition begins November 28

Rochester, N.Y. —  Since 1985, A Christmas Carol has been a beloved holiday tradition in Rochester. Returning to Geva Theatre on the Wilson Stage from November 28 through December 30, A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens’ classic tale presented by KeyBank, will awaken your heart and rekindle your spirit this holiday season. This production of A Christmas Carol was adapted and originally directed by Mark Cuddy, with music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin; the remount is directed by Geva’s Artistic Director Elizabeth Williamson. Geva is proud to present a free performance of A Christmas Carol called “Home for the Holidays” on December 27th at 2PM for Blue Star Families, who are active-duty service men and women, veterans, and their families. Through the generous support of RG&E and the Rochester community, Geva is thrilled to share the joy of the holiday season and honor these families.

The Cast:

Michael Preston (he/him) returns to the role of Ebenezer Scrooge after debuting in the role last season (A Christmas Carol, Hartford Stage). Joining him are longtime A Christmas Carol company members Deven Kolluri (he/him) as The Ghost of Jacob Marley and Matthew S. Morgan (he/him) as Bob Cratchit along with Kilty Reidy (he/him) who is reprising his role of Mr. Fezziwig and The Ghost of Christmas Present. Geva welcomes newcomers Em Hadick (they/them) as Belle, Barnaby Reiter (he/him) as Fred, and Rochester’s own Esther O. Winter (she/her) as Mrs. Cratchit and Mrs. Fezziwig to the company.

The remaining ensemble includes: Milan Allen (she/her), Natalie Borrows (she/her), Sophia Benny (she/her), Robbie Beirne (he/him), Scarlett E. Cantabene, Sean Chavis (he/him), Ella Collazo (she/her), Claudia Coonan (she/her), G’Nai N. Curry (she/her), Lauren Daniels (she/her), Agyenim Drumgoole-Bhalai (he/him), August Fountain, Tessa Gilardoni (she/they), Avery Greene (she/her), Lily Beatrice Jackle (she/her), Quinn Kenyon (she/her), Jaden Kindle (he/they), Naomi Elizabeth Kleiner (she/her), Deonne Major (he/him), Julia Mantell (she/her), Ellie Moritz (she/her), Mason Morrison (he/him), Ged Owen (he/him), Shayda Ramsammy, Nailah Rollins-Snowden (she/her), Jayden Trafton (he/him), Adam Urbanic (he/him), Vincent Vandebogart, Chloe Wehner (she/her), and Anna Wyatt (she/her).

The Creative Team:

A Christmas Carol was adapted and originally directed by Mark Cuddy (he/him) with music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin (he/him). The remount is directed by Elizabeth Williamson (she/her) with musical direction by Don Kot (he/him) and choreography by Meggins Kelley (she/her). The rest of the creative team includes Scenic Designer Adam Koch (he/him), Costume Designer Devon Painter (she/her), Lighting Designer Paul Hackenmueller (he/him), Sound Designer Lindsay Jones (he/him), Video & Projection Design by Dan Scully, and Dramaturg Jean Gordon Ryon (she/her). The Production Stage Manager is Kevin Gregory Dwyer (he/him). Casting support thanks to Paul Fouquet and Karie Koppel.
