Dial M for Murder at Geva

Exciting new spin on classic mystery Dial M for Murder begins January 16th at Geva Theatre

Rochester, N.Y. — Geva Theatre, in association with Dallas Theater Center, presents Dial M for Murder. This new adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher is based on the murder mystery by Frederick Knott. Tony, convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him, spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare them both in danger, recrimination, and murder. Dial M for Murder runs January 16 – February 11 on the Wilson Stage. Tickets are on sale now, visit GevaTheatre.org<https://gevatheatre.org/show/dial-m-for-murder/ or call the Box Office at 585-232-GEVA(4382).

Geva’s Artistic Director, Elizabeth Williamson, shared, “What could be better in the middle of a dark cold winter than sitting down for a sleek, fast-paced thriller? With his new adaptation of Frederick Knott’s Dial M for Murder, Jeffrey Hatcher gives us just that. He’s taken the beloved play, even better known from Hitchcock’s classic film, and given it a wonderful work-over. This version is smart, exciting, and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!”

The Cast:

The company of performers includes a familiar face to Geva with Awesta Zarif (she/her) as Margot Wendice, who was in last season’s Jane Eyre (Selling Kabul, Signature Theatre),  Evan Zes (he/him) as Inspector Hubbard (Broadway: The Kite Runner; TV: Only Murders in the Building), Kia Nicole Boyer as Maxine Hadley (Hair, Dallas Theater Center), Zak Reynolds (he/him) as Lesgate (Bella: An American Tall Tale, Dallas Theater Center), and rounding out the cast is Broadway’s Danny Gardner (he/him) as Tony Wendice (Broadway: Dames At Sea, Flying Over Sunset, and A Christmas Carol).
